Your library
Search, filter and organize everything you've saved, and see the reading history of each item.
The Reading Library is home base: every article, paper, video and note you've saved, newest first.
#Searching
Use the search box (“Search reads, notes, highlights, or ideas…”). Search looks at titles, your notes and highlights, the ideas ReadingTrack extracted, and the saved text of each article.
With the Chrome extension, type rt, press Space or Tab, then your search. Results open in your library.
#Filtering and views
- Content type — Articles, Papers, Notes, Videos, AI articles, Saved snippets.
- Reading status — see below.
- Topic — topics found by ReadingTrack plus tags you imported.
Switch between Grid view and List view with the toggle next to the filters.
#Reading status
Articles move through statuses automatically as you read:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Saved | Saved, not started yet. |
| In progress | You've spent reading time on it. |
| Read | Finished. |
| Archived | Marked as archived in the app you imported from, or archived on mobile. |
Papers use their own statuses — see PDFs & papers.
#Topics and tags
Each item gets topics from its insights. Tags from imports are kept too, including Instapaper folders and Raindrop collections, which become tags. Both show up under the Topic filter. ReadingTrack doesn't use folders; use topics and reading lists to organize instead.
#The item panel
Select any item to open its panel. It shows:
- The summary and topics.
- Reading activity — saved date, total recorded time, estimated length, and furthest progress.
- Every reading session, with device and duration.
- Your highlights, takeaway and notes.
From the panel you can choose Read here to open the clean reader, add the item to a list, or Remove from library.
#Limits
A library holds up to 20,000 items. Search covers roughly the first 28,000 characters of each article's text.
