Highlights & notes
Capture the passages that mattered, your one-line takeaway, and personal notes on every read.
Each item has a small memory attached to it: what mattered to you, in your own words. These are what ReadingTrack brings back in Review.
#Highlighting passages
| Where | How |
|---|---|
| Clean reader (web & mobile) | Select text, then choose a colour from the toolbar. |
| Any page in Chrome | Select text, right-click → Save highlight to ReadingTrack. |
| Item panel | Paste a passage into Save a passage. |
Each item holds up to 50 highlights of up to 2,000 characters each.
#Your takeaway
In the item panel, Your takeaway is for the one idea you want to remember (“The one idea I want to remember…”). Keep it to a sentence or two; it becomes the anchor for this item's reviews.
#Personal notes
Personal notes are for everything else: why this matters, where you could use it, what you disagree with. Notes are searchable from your library.
#Worth remembering
Turn on Worth remembering to put this item's ideas into your review queue. Turn it off for things you only wanted to read once. Choose Save insights to keep your changes.
#Exporting
Highlights, takeaways and notes are all included in your data export.
