Article insights
The overview, key ideas and review questions ReadingTrack builds for each save — every point backed by a quote you can check.
When you save something, ReadingTrack reads it and builds a short set of insights. They help you decide whether to read it now, and they seed your review questions.
#What you get
- Overview — what the piece is about, in a few sentences.
- Topics — used for filtering and in Insights.
- Key ideas — one to three of the most important points.
- Caveats — limits or counterpoints the author raises.
- Suggested application — a way to apply the idea.
- Review questions — one or two questions for your review queue.
#Checking the source
Every point is tied to an exact passage from the article. Choose View source passage under any point to see the quote it came from. If ReadingTrack can't find support in the text for a point, it leaves that point out rather than guessing.
#Panel actions
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Build article insights | Shown when an item hasn't been analysed yet — for example, an imported item or one saved after you reached your monthly allowance. |
| Re-extract article | Fetches the article text again. Useful if the page changed or the first copy was incomplete. |
| Update review questions | Rewrites the review questions, taking your highlights into account. |
| Refresh analysis | Runs the whole analysis again. Pro |
Manual requests have a two-minute cooldown per item.
#Allowances
Each analysis counts toward your monthly allowance: 30 on Free and 500 on Pro. Allowances reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). Saving and reading are never limited — items over the allowance just wait with a Build article insights button. See Plans & pricing.
